Florida, and then some......

I went to Orlando last Sunday for the AHRI Expo Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday I started making distributor calls in Tampa, Lakeland, Orlando, Sanford, and ended up at Daytona Beach late that afternoon. Before taking off for Gainesville for the evening....well you know me, I had to..........

Yes ladies and gentlemen, spring is coming; I could hear the gentle sounds of her sweet approach over the first turn wall, as Rolex 24 Hours cars practiced Wednesday evening. Guess I'm not getting that second seat with the Ferrari team this year; oh well, I'll keep working on it.

I decided to take some pictures of funny license plates as I motored around but none came out well enough to publish. And, I also got some really funny looks; not funny haha, well, you know what I mean

In Gainesville Thursday morning, Jacksonville that afternoon, and then a 5:00 meeting in Savannah. On to Charleston that night, a couple of calls there and back home by 4:30 Friday afternoon. Definitely a busy week, and also very productive. I kind of felt like Sherman cutting through the South except for the fact that I'm not a murdering, earth-scorching scoundrel

Pop is doing some occupational therapy and seems a little more upbeat than earlier in the week. Off to SC tomorrow afternoon, be home before Friday.

K&L are heading home this week

And in other good news Jackson received a letter from HSC offering him a Patrick Henry Scholarship for the next four years. He has tough decisions to make; and we are very proud of him for exploring so many options

What, no pictures?
OK, one; I went to Wilmington today to call on distributors, couldn't leave town without a picture of the old BB-55 USS North Carolina. Got lucky with this shot from inside the car across the river; she looked good in the new(er) colors. Like many other NC schoolkids I gave a dime to get her home, and I really enjoy seeing her resting off the Cape Fear River when I get half a chance.
Pop is back in Crystal Bluffs, went by to see him on the way in tonight and all he wanted to do was sleep. Well that's fine; I like seeing him get his rest. Off to FL Sunday morning, want some oranges?

Back again

Worked in NC with our local reps this week and had a lot of fun making distributor calls. Finished up Thursday afternoon in Charlotte, started out for Raleigh and got a call that Pop was having some chest pains and stomach aches. Terri met him at the ER; he was nauseous and in a lot of pain. By the time I arrived he was still in pain, but it eased off as the morphine kicked in. It was about 1:30 AM before they got a room for him, he slept most of the night with some help. At this writing we don't know the diagnosis, but the educated guess is some type of bowel obstruction. Hope they can figure this one out in a non-evasive way; we want to keep him as comfortable as possible.

New year

As the new year begins, I look for new things; but first, a picture of an old bridge in Point Pleasant.....remember the Moth Man?
Next up, a great Christmas gift from the FO, yes a rubber chicken, but this one is just a little different

This one can lay an egg
Pop has lost 20 pounds over the past month, but his appetite improved the last couple of days.
In NC and SC next week

Happy New Year

Short and concise; we had a great evening last night with the Highs, some of Jackson's friends, and a special visitor from afar

I would make a face like that if I had to wear a unc shirt too. It was fun seeing Kristie; good food, good drink, lots of new presents to enjoy..............good times.

In OH and WV next week.

Dueling Banjos No, the odd looking young man did not play the banjo in the movie, here is how the movie-magic people did it: Fake sleeves !!...
