Last Sunday we had our first Church on the Beach, good crowd and a beautiful morning. Afterwards we went back towards Harkers Island, Terri sunbathed and I fished for flounder. Caught one little one, the Owner wanted me to filet the undersized fish and hide it.....decided against that move. Later we were caught in a deluge with a lot of close lightning, not very comfortable. Saw someone in the water at the NCWRC landing on Taylor Creek trying to retrieve their boat, trailer, and.......................Lexus. All in all our day wasn't too bad.

Dave and I finished cleaning out the shop last Saturday, and went to the closing Monday afternoon. We enjoyed growing up in that neighborhood but are very happy and relieved to have them sold. We hope the new owners will enjoy them.

A huge oak was felled, must have been diseased or maybe the roots were upsetting the building. Impressive stump, about 9 feet across
One last look at the High Manor
Dave found some old boots from his soldering days, decided to keep them long enough to get his SS number out of them
A homemade fan over the workbench, complete with a guard to prevent an injury
A clean workshop.....do you believe it?
Someone wrote their middle name on the wall a couple of years ago......showed you this one rather than the one on the left side where I screwed up the "E"
And after it all was done, SheWhoMustBeObeyed and I took off for Morehead. Started to get a little chilly and rainy

Father's Day this weekend, Pop told me yesterday he wants a carton of Camels..........Matthews Beach Week begins this Saturday. This year Terri is leaving town; she'll be in Boone for a reading conference meeting. Should be a fun week
