Since it was the Seafood Festival tournament, all weekend had all you can eat scallops, shrimp, clams, flounder, oyster, crabmeat; etc., Riley entertained the gallery with such witty remarks as "somebody step on a duck?" "that baby needs changing" "we're driving by a landfill over there in the woods" and the ever popular "better check your shoe"
After winning Riley was seen rushing to the mens locker room where he was quoted saying "excuse me, somebody is IN here, and I need some matches ....................."
In other news hog farmer William Ward reported seeing a sty-full of his prize pigs take off in V-formation and perform loops and upside down flying in a 30 minute aerial show above his fields. Ward said he knew this would happen one day, just didn't know when.
In weather news, Lucifer called in to report a 31 degree day in Hades........................
Duke beat the mess out of NCSU
Yes, a Riley on the leader board on day one, and a winner on day two; it is hard to believe isn't it?
I also won a beautiful Core Sound hand carved decoy; great weekend, pictures to follow

Are you framing the scorecard?
Congrats, Dad. So I'm guessing you're going to take your winner's purse and go buy a trophy, right?
great job!!
John,
Good playing! I'm a new member and noticed your blog. Can we play golf together next time I'm in town?
RE: Lancewaggner...
Now that John is ranked as a club champion, he has appointed me his partner "selector/screener". As part of his requirements, you will be sent a 3 page questionaire detailing your skill level, club selection by shot/distance and a signed statement that all of the jokes John tells will need to be credited to him when/if you should retell them.
After completion, the committee that includes the FishnOptishin, will review to assure you meet the high standards John now requires of his playing partners. You will also be responsible for pushing the wheelbarrow to carry his head in since he is now a club champ. As you can see, we have a lot of fun at John's expense...
WELCOME TO THE BLOG!
Lance, sure, give me a call sometime, I'm in the book on Alexandra Court.
I'm not a very serious golfer, this is the first real tournament I've played in quite a while; most of my golf is late in the afternoon and I walk.....therefore it is considered excercise and I get wife approval.
And of course this is why the win was such a surprise.
Please excuse my brother (the old paratrooper) Up until his last jump he usually landed feet first
John,
I was in the Army 7 years but never had a problem with any of the planes I was in so I never had to jump out of them. I will give you a call next time I'm in town.
