Good News/Good News/Any Bad News?

Good news: a very productive week in eastern NC, my second week home this year and as of early Friday morning no fisticuffs or knifing! Thanks to Sterno and matches I cleaned up a lot of paper sitting on my desk and I am ready to hit the road next week.
Good news: looks as though we have sold Dink's condo, not to jinx the deal but we have a clean offer which we accepted. What a relief to be able to settle her estate within the next 60 days or so. Now for yet another fun part, moving her remaining furniture into my garage for dispersal to whomever may want it. I scared TAR this week when I told her about an old desk that resided in our Mill Street living room forever and is now in the condo. It is a neat old piece of furniture that has a lot of memories but is now dry-rotted (that was when SWMBO said whewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, I thought you wanted to keep it.) So we will say goodbye to a lot of things that tug at our souls to keep, but have no use or need or desire to keep, we're not keeping things just because they were our parents'. Sorry. I wouldn't want to strike a match too close to it. Want an old desk?
And a good week at work, got an order that was more than 10 X the size I anticipated, good news indeed. And a wonderful surprise.
Bad news, well not too bad, we tried but we didn't catch any fish Wednesday, met up with the Fishin Optishin for a short trip to catch a hickory shad, we both knew it was too early but couldn't resist giving it a shot for an hour and a half on a pretty day. He said it reminded him of when we were kids, casting and casting and casting and not catching anything. Oh well, warmer weather and our birthday weekend extravaganza are on the way.
On Monday we get to walk the hallowed grounds of Augusta National for a practice round courtesy of a Christmas gift from our # 1 son. Don't tell anyone but I have an Alan Shepherd-type break-down 6 iron I'm going to insert in my trouser leg.... at just the right time I might drop a Titleist in a fairway and tear me one off; I've been to the course many times through the years, I'm thinking this might just be the last visit. And I've got a plane to catch for Texas Tuesday at lunch, hmmmmmm, might need to think about this a little longer. We hope the weather will be pretty as we walk these very special grounds. So that's good news too.
And since it is Holy Week, enjoy Ken Block in a 845 HP Mustang.
Don't know if you catch the reason for that and since it is Good Friday I will not be sacrilegious and explain it, not today anyway.
Years ago Cooper was at Bible school during a summer visit, there was a drama conducted about Daniel in the lions' den, the facilitator stopped the story for the day as Daniel went into the den, she asked them to come back the next day and in the mean time to pray that Daniel would be OK. Cooper announced to everyone that he knew the story and not to worry, he is going to be OK. Many of you have heard me tell this story before, get over it, I hope I can tell it many more times. Good news:this is Easter and the tomb is empty.
